| Sophia Maier-Johnston Memorial
Scholarship |
|
The Sophia
Maier-Johnston Memorial Scholarship was established in 1973 and has
provided over $100,000 in financial aid to disabled college students.
It was inspired by our Founder, Sophia Maier-Johnston, who suffered from
significant hearing loss during her life. Each Province selects a local
recipient for this annual scholarship. The Sigma Beta Dime Fund makes
these scholarships possible. Raising money for the Dime Fund has
inspired creativity and innovation from Sigma Beta sisters everywhere.
The Dime Fund has its very own mascot in the form of an adorable little
bovine bank named Sweet Bessie. To learn more about eligibility or how
to apply, contact
Sigma Beta's Scholarship Chairperson. |
