2011 REPORT FROM PEG!

What a cold miserable day for the attendees at Sigma Beta Day in Florida this year; at least it wasn’t pouring down rain like last year, but very cold.

Not a good attendance as in the past but those there had a great time reminiscing and catching up on things going on in each others lives.  It was voted to hold next years luncheon later in February, 2012 hopefully more could attend and the weather would be better.  The date chosen was to go back to Friday which will be February 24th,  same time and same place.

We were sorry that Janny Skidmore was unable to attend as she was in Clearwater making arrangements for 2012 convention.

Peg announced that Ann Marianis’ husband Ray,  passed away recently; Wanda Sloper had shoulder replacement and doing well; Nancy Havards’ step-mother passed away and Shirley Crockett moved from Ft. Myers to Alabama and soon moving to Oklahoma.

The 11 members in attendance was a small group but added up to a hefty number of 433 Sigma Beta years.  The least by 18 yrs. and the most by 55 yrs.  Those present were:  Janet Craig, Nancy Clemmer, Joan Rice, Becky Smith, Marty Crites, Carol Cady, Carolyn Morgan, Mary Lou Peterson, Saundra Milosic, Linda Mize and myself.

Carolyn  had her annual raffle tickets and Carol had her scrubbers.  So you see we are constantly working for Sigma Beta.  Peg announced that she is hosting a “31 Party” in March which sells a little bit of everything; personal items, picnic, beach and baskets.  All proceeds, money or merchandise will be going to Alpha Chapter.  So if you receive an email from me, please check it out before you delete it.

We really missed those of you not in attendance but looking forward to next year.  Please mark your calendars and plan on joining us.

Love-n-hugs,

Peg
