Sigma Beta Soroity, Inc. Charity Projects

National Charity Grants

Sigma Beta Sorority is passionate about its dedication to charity projects.  Our biggest impact is accomplished through our National Charity Grants.  Throughout the year, Sigma Beta sisters raise funds and contribute donations to the National Charity Fund.  At our National Convention, a charity project is selected to receive large cash grants to fund causes for disease research, community support services and other worthy projects.  Since our inception, Sigma Beta has awarded over $1,000,000 to a broad variety of projects.  Our current charity projects are Pancreatic Cancer Research at Johns Hopkins University and the ALS Association.  Past recipients are listed at the bottom of this page.  To learn how you can assist in our work or if you'd like to propose a charity for consideration, contact the Sigma Beta Charity Chairperson

Sophia Maier-Johnston Memorial Scholarship

In the spirit of helping those in need, Sigma Beta created the Sophia Maier-Johnston Scholarship Fund in 1973 for disabled college students.   Six annual awards of $1500 each are awarded to deserving students for each regional Province.  Our scholarships are funded by the Sigma Beta Dime Fund.  We invite you to learn more about the scholarship and Dime Fund.
